‘Hi Joulene’: Joburg’s City Power launches AI chatbot

Johannesburg’s troubled electricity supply utility, City Power, has launched a customer-facing AI chatbot called Joulene.

Eskom has handed over load shedding operations for large parts of Johannesburg to City Power.

Joburg has secured bids from private producers to provide 92MW of electricity.
