Four rocky planets found orbiting nearby Barnard’s star

Astronomers have identified a quartet of small rocky planets orbiting Barnard’s star, one of our closest stellar neighbours.

The confirmed planet, called Barnard b, has a predicted diameter about three-quarters that of Earth.
